The Salmon Grind
Ocean conditions along the Central Coast continue to change, and we’re starting to see encouraging signs that salmon may be pushing back closer to shore. Every trip offshore has been an opportunity to cover new water and keep a finger on the pulse of the changes.
While salmon fishing has had its challenges lately, there’s still plenty happening offshore. We’ve seen exciting bonito action mixed in, plenty of wildlife, and the kind of changing conditions that can turn a day around fast. Part of the excitement is never knowing when the next rod might bury. Rockfishing has also been producing well, and we’re always flexible offshore if conditions or opportunities point us toward different species.
At Sunny Day Sportfishing, the trip is about more than just the fish in the box. It’s about getting out, enjoying the ocean, and being part of the hunt. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just looking for a great day on the water, we’d love to have you aboard as we continue searching for salmon and chasing the next great bite.
